Back in NYC to play at Jazz at Lincoln Center
I’m back in NYC, but this time with the BIJQ from March 30 to April 5.
I have some free time, and I’ll start enjoying that Wednesday night at The Blue Note where I’ll see trumpeter Wallace Roney (student of Miles Davis), bassist Buster Williams (played with Herbie Hancock), drummer Lenny White (played with Chick Correa), plus some other guys. NY is great that way.
As far as performing:
I’ll be at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola for 11:15 PM gigs with BIJQ on Thurs, Fri and Sat 3/31, 4/1 and 4/2 ($10 cover, plus drinks)
Sunday there’s a FREE 45 minute BIJQ show at 2 PM at the Jazz Standard.
Monday 4/4, we’re doing 2 sets at Dizzy’s club at 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM. (Cover charge, plus dinner/drinks)
For fun I’ll probably do late night jam sessions at Small’s Jazz Club, but those start at 2 AM and end around 4 AM.
Looking forward to hanging out with friends and family, too.
